A view of Monaco and the beach from the hotel's restaurant. The red awnings and grounds on the left are our hotel.

Jeremy and I enjoying our first breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.

Probably Monaco's best-known landmark, the Monte-Carlo Casino.
These views are of the back of the casino, the side that faces the Mediterranean and our hotel.

We drove to Nice to relax on the pebble beach and swim in the Med.
We arrived late in the day, partly due to construction and detours all over Nice and a navigation system that continually directed me to turn into dead-end roads!
Once I ignored the navigation system, I got right to the beach, but by then we had only an hour before we had to leave for our dinner reservation.
We hurried back for dinner at the hotel restaurant.
The view was especially nice with sunset lighting.
A seagull joined us for dinner, but he was polite.
This time with the flash turned on.
When he realized we weren't going to share he took off.

This is the front of our hotel. Just days before we arrived fast cars whipped around this turn in the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix. You can see the sponsorship and stacked tires/padding still there.
Another view of the front of our hotel.

Visiting Monaco requires a certain dress code. ;-) Here we are after getting a cold rejection at the Casino entrance because we didn't have our passports... Do I look like I have pockets? Please! Of course, like so many stars nowadays, we accessorized with stylish dogs.
Breakfast on the terrace! The gorgeous view and amazing food instantly made it a morning ritual... okay, an 11:30-12:30 ritual, but technically still morning when we began. Hey, it's not a vacation if can't sleep in!
One of many such boats that docked at the Monaco harbor outside our hotel window.
A stylish sailing class returning to port. The style and order of the boats is analogous to Monaco itself, where we never saw a dirty sidewalk, an unmanicured patch of grass, or anything that wasn't picture perfect.

I finally took a picture of the front of the Monte-Carlo Casino.
We took a languid drive along the Med and stopped at any particularly nice view.
Here is Èze, known for the Fragonard factory that produces scents for the worlds most famous perfume makers, including Chanel.
Another stop on our drive.
No idea where this is, but it was nice to see.
Yet another picturesque bay along the Med between Monaco and Nice.

Princess Grace Theater in Monaco. It was on our usual dog-walking path.

As was the harbor itself.

The front of the Monte-Carlo Casino at night.
At any given moment, there were about 10 expensive (over $200k) cars parked by the entrance... not too surprising given that every 3rd or 4th car on the road in Monaco was a Ferrari, Bentley, Lamborghini, or similar auto.
Our last night in Monaco. This time we actually made it into the casino, though being late on a Monday night it was fairly empty and anti-climactic. Still, it was worth seeing at least once!
