Entering the town of Kennebunkport. It seems idyllic already.
Replete with everything one would expect in a classic New England sea port.
Wooden docks and pleasure boats...
Blooming flowers lining the sidewalks...
Flower boxes in every window...
Of course, we had to take a sail.
We had an afternoon cruise on Eleanor
Growing up on sailboat, I'm partial to anything nautical.

And, no trip to Kennebunkport is complete without at least a glimpse of the presidential Bush compound.
In addition to a sail, we visited a private beach, where the company sponsors held afternoon activities and lunch.
Lots of wildlife. Everyone foraging for sustenance... including the biting flies, unfortunately.
This one swooped up something of interest.
We also ran across lots of creatures in the tidal pools... star fish, crabs, etc.
The company had a hobie cat at the event too.
Though we didn't take a ride, the bright colors made for nice scenery.
