A ROK soldier in the Joint Security Area (JSA) of the DMA. The only place where both North and South Korean military are present. He is standing at the head of a table whose center denotes the border between North & South Korea.
Another ROK soldier. I took this in the room where the original Armistice was signed, and both he and I are technically in North Korea because the border runs through the middle of the conference table in the center of the room.
The ROK soldiers stand facing North only partially exposed, just in case battle were to suddenly break out. As you can see security is taken very seriously here where they are continually face to face with the North Korean military.
These rooms sit between the main NK building (in the background) and the main SK building (on whose steps I was standing). The blue buildings you see belong to the US/South Korea, and the gray ones belong to the North.
The main North Korean building.

My colleague Sean who joined me on the tour.

This is the infamous "Bridge of No Return" where prisoners on both side were permitted to return to their country, but they could never return later.
